Transfers

We’re excited you’ve chosen to continue your college studies here at SU. Now you need to complete all of the “STEPS” for enrollment.

The following checklist will help you complete all of the thing you need to do from the time you become admitted until the day you are ready to move onto campus and/or start classes in August.

FOR FALL SEMESTER START:

  • Pay your Deposit: May 1 deadline (or within two weeks of the admission date, if you are admitted between April 20 and July 1)
  • Register for Summer Orientation on “STEPS to SU”
  • Attend Summer Orientation in June or July
  • Submit immunizations & health insurance documents to the SU Wellness Center - Aug. 1 Deadline (late fees will be assessed after this date)
  • Check STEPS – Web site throughout the summer to make sure your paperwork is complete, and print your welcome week schedule
  • Return your iM-Learning Technology forms to the Instituational Computing office
  • Tuition bills mailed the 3rd week of July.
  • Pay your tuition bill by August 10. Late fees assessed after this date.
  • Move into your residence hall (if you are living on campus) the week before classes begin
  • Attend welcome week events for resident and commuter students as listed on the schedule
  • Attend your first class at SU (classes begin August 26, 2013)

FOR SPRING SEMESTER START:

  • Pay your Tuition Deposit
    For Spring Semester: December 1 deadline (or within two weeks of the admission date, if you are admitted between Dec. 1 and Jan. 5)
  • Get registered on STEPS to SU
    This site contains all the information you need to become enrolled at SU
  • Information on Transfer Welcome Meeting in January
  • Apply for housing (if you intend to live on campus)
  • Apply for financial aid (if you haven’t) or finalize your financial aid
  • Visit campus (if you haven’t)
  • Keep up the good work if you are currently taking courses (to maintain your status as an admitted student, you must successfully complete the coursework listed on your application)
  • Pay your tuition bill by December 15, 2012. Late fees assessed after this date.
  • Move into your residence hall (if you are living on campus) the week before classes begin
  • Attend welcome week events for resident and commuter students as listed on the schedule
  • Attend your first class at SU (classes begin January 11, 2013)
